NASCAR driver and outdoorsman Ryan Newman gets ready to flip the switch on the world's largest solar-powered sports facility at Pocono Raceway. The 3 MW solar farm has 40,000 solar panels covering 25 acres to fully power the track and 1,000 local homes. 

Contratulations!  Also featured in the Pocono program, Chris MacNicol, Julie Botts, Julie Catalano and Kenny Gregory (5-page spread).

Congratulations to Bill Strope...some of his photos have been included in the program for this weekend's Sprint Cup race in Pocono!  Great job Bill!

GREAT write-up for the Paralyzed Veterens Association Event, worth the time "Fans from The Weekend Starts on Wednesday to Field a Car in 'Kings Cup" Benefitting Paralyzed Veterans of America.

The Weekend Starts on Wednesday "Chapter Buddies," a team comprised of fans from our book, will be racing in The King's Cup tomorrow to benefit Paralyzed Veterans. 

Andrew Giangola:  Steve and Christine Deuker have done an amazing job pulling this together to run a Chapter Buddies car.  The Fathead Guy says he’s so slow he’s timed with a sundial…but I’m predicting Kenny will be the big surprise tomorrow.  Please feel free to socialize/re-tweet this – it’s a great cause, and Richard Petty is the national spokesperson for the Paralyzed Veterans of America.   Read about it here:

Paralyzed Veterans Association Event - Tuesday - May 25, 2010:  Several Sprint Cup Drivers will be there, including the King himself!  Check out the website!This event is a great way to have some NASCAR fun and help a great cause.  The Deuker's are trying to put together a team of 6 drivers from "The Weekend Starts on Wednesday" chapter buddies. This event is a way of being up close and in a casual setting with the drivers just having fun and without thousands of people.  If you are interested, please let them know directly or through the "Contact Info" link on this website.
